My trip to Italy

Two weeks ago, my classmates, Jordi Mossoll, Anna Vilà and I went to our trip to Italy. We started the trip in the school at 5.30. We took the plane to Milan Malpensa and we arrived at 10.30 more or less. We got on a bus and we went to Sirmeone, Lago da Garda, a very beatiful small town surrounded by a huge lake. There, Maria explained us its history. In the afternoon we went to Verona and we went sightseeing the city, its ancient Arena and Julieta's house. We overnight there in the Arena Albergo. The next day we went by train to Venice. We saw st. Marco's catherdral, the canals, ponte Rialto... We could feel the supremacy of Venice in the XVI century. The cathedral was all covered with gold. The next day we took a bus and we travelled to Firenze. When we arrived we checked in the Eden Hotel and we visited the city: the Duomo, ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Michaelangelo's David... On Thursday we visited the Uffizi, where there's the Born of the Spring and others famous pictures. Later we entered the Duomo and we went up the cupola. We had lunch, we visited the Academy and we had some free time. I used this time to go up the campanille and buy some souvenirs. On Friday we visited Pisa, where we travelled by little train and we saw the tower, the church and the baptisterium. Finally, we went to Firenze's airport, Amerigo Vespucci, we took the plane and we arrived to Barcelona. Then we returned to Banyoles by bus, when we arrived at 1 o'clock.

My last summer

Hi, as you know, my name is Àlex and now I'm going to talk about my last summer holidays.
During my holidays I stayed in Iceland, Banyoles and l'Estartit.

My family and I travelled to Iceland during st. John's night. When we arrived to Keflavík we rent a motorhome and we slept. The next morning we visited Pingvellir, the place where old Icelandic celebrated their parlament. Also Pingvellir is the place where European and American plates tectonics shocked. Then we visited Geysir, a place where there are some geisers that expel 10 meters high hot water every 10 minutes. Later we went to Gullfos (The Gold waterfall), a huge waterfall that is like the Niagara falls. We slept near there and the next day we went to Seljandofoss and Skogafoss, two waterfalls. The next day we went to Vík, a beautiful sea city where there are a lot of puffins and artic terns. Then we went to Jökulsalsárson, a lake where ice from Vatnajökull ( the biggest glacier of Europe) flows and we sailed between the icebergs. Then, in the evening we did a trip to Vatnajökull because I wanted to step on the biggest glacier.
We visited Höfn where we ate lobster because it was the day of the lobster.
The next day we went to Myvatn and we took a bath on a hotspring and on a blue lagoon. Then we went to Husavík to see whales and we had a bath on a public outdoor pool which was warm. The last day we went to Reykjavik and we visited the cathedral.

The rest of July I stayed in Banyoles doing the usual summer things.

In August I went to l'Estartit and I relaxed. I went to the beach every day to sunbathe, I had lunch at 5 o'clock or played cards.

In conclusion, I think that this summer was very relaxing and it was great, But it wasn't long enough.
